Whether you're building a new tower, or have an existing tower that requires
maintenance, Penn-Tech International has the experience and expertise needed to
meet all your tower needs. Common problems that we can correct are listed
below. To identify problems before they threaten the integrity of your tower,

Tower Inspections
& Testing.

Azimuth and downtilt verification on sector-panel antennas.

Anchor corrosion.
Corrosion of guyed tower anchors is fast becoming an issue of critical
importance. Towers designed and built without consideration to corrosion
control are in jeopardy. We perform 3-point ground resistance and 4-point soil
resistance tests. These tests aid in the design of ground system and anchor
corrosion protection specific to your site. In addition to repairing these problems, we offer below-grade anchor inspections.

Antenna troubleshooting and repair.
Low signal? No signal? If your antenna isn't working, we can check the
return-loss on your cables and make repairs. Whether you need your cables,
jumpers, or antennas replaced, we can get your signal back. We can perform
sweep tests to identify cable shorts or defects.

Demolition and removal.
Need a tower removed? We can quickly and safely demolish and remove your tower.

Guy cable damage.
Damaged guy cables and expanding rust corrosion can threaten the safety and
integrity of your tower. We can reguy (replace) your guy cables. We
custom-manufacture guy cables with swage-press fittings or onsite fabrication
using preformed line guy grips.

Microwave dish protective-dome replacement. We can replace fabric and hard-shell domes (up to 8 feet) without disturbing your signal.

Microwave paths out of alignment.
If you're getting low or intermittent signals on your microwave path, we
provide microwave paths alignment services.

Paint and lighting.
Paint and lighting systems must meet FAA standards. Learn about our Tower Painting

Safety-climb problems.
We can install, upgrade, and replace any safety-climb system.

Shelter preventive maintenance.
To prevent shelter water intrusion, we can caulk the shelter and cable entry.
We can also perform resistance testing and upgrade the shelter's grounding
system (if needed).

Tower alignment and guy cable tensioning.
Natural expansion and contraction from season to season can impact your tower's
vertical alignment and guy tension values. Severe weather conditions can
accelerate this process. We can measure your tensions, check your alignments,
and make corrections as needed. We also offer twist reading measurement as well
as adjustment on sway guys (6-way guying).

Tower grounding system. Ground testing, upgrades, and
mechanical and mechanical/thermal weldments repairs.
